ACME Steam Superheaters are available for operating pressures of up to 800 PSIG and temperatures up to 1200 deg. F. Steam flow is only limited by practical size considerations. Pressure sections are built to ASME code with National Board or CRN registration. Burners are AGA or CGA listed with UL, CSA or other gas train standards as requested or applicable. The ACME Steam Superheater is delivered to the site prewired and prepiped requiring only steam, gas, main power and stack connections. Similar units are available to heat air or other gases. Special features such as weatherproof construction and stainless steel casings for corrosive environments are available on request. ACME GS Series Steam Superheaters are auxiliary equipment to steam boilers. They are built to meet the specific design and performance requirements of each application. The ACME Horizontal or Vertical Superheaters have inlet and outlet flanged connections oriented to suit local conditions for simplified field installation. A pressure safety valve is standard. The casing of the Superheater could be in Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel as required. It is further insulated with H.T Ceramic Fiber which in turn is protected by an aluminum cover.

ACME Steam Generators are based on more than half a century of accumulated experience in the electric heating field. Easy and economical to install, ACME Steam Generators are available in sizes from 6 KW to 4 MW at all common voltages up to 600 V, 3 PH.Pressure vessels are built to ASME Code. National Board or CRN registration are available. Standard design pressure is 1035 kPa (150 PSI). Other higher design pressures are available. Pressure vessels can be in Carbon Steel or Stainless Steels – SS304 or SS316. ACME boilers are manufactured under rigid progressive quality control. Protection and control sequences are simulated and verified. Acme electric hot water boilers are economical units that deliver maximum kilowatts in minimum space requirements. Ideal for new boiler applications or as a replacement unit to upgrade existing applications. This model takes up less floor area and fits through smaller openings than oil or gas-fired units. Easy and economical to install, available in sizes from 9 KW to 2600 KW at all common voltages up to 600 V, 3PH. Pressure vessels are built to ASME Code. National Board or CRN registration are available. Standard design pressure is 1035 kPa (150 PSI). Other higher design pressures are available. Pressure vessels can be in Carbon Steel or Stainless Steels – SS304 or SS316. ACME Standard heating elements are incoloy 800 sheathed design for efficient heat transfer, long service life and safety. Each element is rated at 75 W/sq.in. for maximum reliability. The elements are individually field replaceable with standard tools which greatly reduces the cost and time required to replace them. Since the size of each element is small in comparison to the total boiler capacity, the loss of a single element does not dramatically affect the boiler operation. As a result, replacement of a defective element can be postponed until a regular maintenance interval. ACME electric hot water boilers are manufactured under rigid progressive quality control. ACME Electric Steam Superheaters are available for use with steam boilers as an auxiliary piece of equipment. Our superheaters are all custom made and built to meet the specific design requirements of each application. A superheater increases the temperature of the steam but does not increase the latent heat of evaporation. This means that heating with supuerheated steam is similar to heating with hot air. The material or medium being heated will approach the temperature of the superheated steam as long as the steam is not allowed to condense. It should be pointed out that if the steam is allowed to condense, the bulk of the heat will be transmitted at the saturated steam temperature for that pressure rather than at the superheated steam temperature. In addition to applications requiring supereheated steam for non-condensing processes, superheaters are also used only to obtain “dry” steam -i.e. 100% vapor – at the point of use. The requires the re-evaporation of all the water droplets which are carried by the steam. All of the droplets must be evaporated before the steam can be superheated; therefore, a few degrees of superheat above the saturation temperature assures dry steam.

The model CEJS High Voltage Electrode Steam Boiler is the proven leader with more hours of operating experience over a wide range of applications than any competitor. The CEJS electrodes are vertically mounted around the inside of the pressure vessel which enables the CEJS to produce maximum amounts of steam in a minimum amount of floor space.The CEJS operates at existing distribution voltages, 4.16 to 25 KV with exceptional efficiency – up to 99.9% efficient! Models are available to produce steam in capacities to 270,000 pounds per hour. Pressure ratings range from 75 psig to 500 psig. All CEJS boilers are designed to ASME Sec. VIII Div.1 and are certified and registered pressure vessels. Electrode boilers utilize the conductive and resistive properties of water to carry electric current and generate steam. An A.C. current flows from an electrode of one phase, through neutral, to an electrode of another phase using the water as a conductor. Since the water has electrical resistance, the current flow generates heat directly in the water itself. The more current (amps) that flows, the more heat (BTUs) is generated and the more steam produced. Nearly 100% of the electrical energy is converted into heat with no stack or heat transfer losses.
