  • Measure & Bind: Secure the rope at a distance equal to the desired loop size, plus an extra length (about 10 times the rope’s diameter).
  • Strand Separation: Split the rope by separating three adjacent strands while keeping the other three strands and core intact.
  • Form the Loop: Bend the main section (three strands and core) into the desired loop size.
  • Strand Weaving: Lay the three separated strands into the grooves of the bent section, as close to the throat as possible.
  • Secure the Loop: Completely weave the strands around the loop, ensuring they reach deep into the throat, leaving the six strand ends and core projecting near the throat.
  • Ferrule Application: Position a special ferrule over the rolled-in splice to prepare for swaging.
  • Swaging Process: A swaging machine applies tremendous force, tapering the ferrule to create a smooth, strong, and secure connection.
