Kota Doria
Kota Doria fabric consists of cotton and silk yarn woven in different combinations in warp and weft, so that they produce square check patterns. This check pattern is popularly known as khat. The 'khat' pattern of Kota Doria is unique and is the main characteristic of the fabric. The 'khat' is itself the uniqueness of the fabric and thus needs to be protected. This unique feature owes its origin to the inherited traditional skills of the weavers and the special finishing processes given to the yarn during sizing.
